Assembler Fitter (F/X/M)

Our Client fabricates mostly large pressure vessels (reactors, columns) with diameters 5 to 10 m and thickness 50 to 145mm. Final vessel weight up to 900ton. The assembler-fitter has to assemble and tack-weld the sub-parts (shells, heads, nozzles, clips, trunnions, skirts, saddles,…) into the complete vessel, according to construction drawings.


Typical tasks are:

- Measuring and tracing positions on cylindrical vessels according to drawing;
- Flame cutting of holes in the vessels;
- Assembly of nozzles in vessels;
- Assembly (including measuring of positions) of clips and other attachments to the vessels;
- Assembly of circumferential seams of cylinders;
- Closing (blind flanges) of vessels for testing;
- Handing and manipulation of large pieces with overhead cranes;
- Grinding, polishing;

- Good level of English language;
- Reading/Understanding construction drawings;
- Experience with (some of) the above mentioned tasks;
- Working in 2 shift system;
- No fear of working on heights;
- Ability to work with overhead cranes, fork lift and boom lift;
- Basic welding skills (MIG/MAG) to do the tack-welding of assembled pieces.
