As a truck mechanic in our Bruges team, you are responsible for diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing trucks. Your expertise ensures that each vehicle is serviced according to the highest standards of quality and safety. You will work closely with your colleagues in the workshop and report to the workshop supervisor.
A typical day begins with receiving your work assignments and preparing the necessary materials. You perform diagnostic tests to identify and resolve mechanical, electrical, and electronic issues. Routine maintenance such as oil and filter changes, brake installations, and component replacements are part of your daily tasks. Documenting your work according to company procedures is a crucial aspect of your role.

Technical qualification or vocational training in truck mechanics or equivalent
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience as a truck technician or diagnostic mechanic
Driving license category B required (C is an advantage)
Basic communication skills in English or French
Willingness for occasional on-call duty (once per month); no standard weekend work
Strong problem-solving ability and technical insight
Team player with a proactive and reliable work attitude
Adherence to safety standards and consistent use of PPE
Open communicator, direct and honest in feedback
Motivated to develop and grow within a professional workshop environment
