Butcher with experience (f/x/m)
What you're going to do
For our client who produces all pork products in-house, employing around 960 employees, we are looking for an experienced butcher/cutter.
This company has been one of Europe's leading producers of fresh and finished pork for many years. They process 1.4 million pigs for more than 140,000 tonnes of pork each year. As a result, it is gaining trust all over the world. The company has satisfied customers in more than 50 countries, mainly in distribution, wholesale and purchasing centres, but also in retail, catering and hospitality.
Duties:
- The main task is to separate the meat from the bone as accurately as possible.
- Cutting various cuts of pork according to appropriate butchery techniques.
- Portioning meat into different cuts.
- Maintaining cleanliness and sanitary standards, including proper handling and disposal of meat trimmings and waste.
- Inspecting meat products to ensure quality and freshness, while complying with food safety regulations.
- Following correct food handling and safety procedures, including temperature control and labelling.
