What you're going to do

This company is an industry leading specialists with over 100 years of experience and knowledge within the metal and plastic processing industry.

The know-how and work ethics was built up through projects for the automotive industry also applied in many other industries. For example, they are making parts and components that are used on a daily basis in the construction industry. Examples include parts for HVAC installations. Metal stamping or plastic injection requires finely calibrated and specialized equipment. Depending on the product or part design, they design dies or tools for shaping, punching, coining, bending, and embossing; however, dies and tools are custom made to meet customer specific requirements.

Details of the role:

The CNC Miller Is responsible for the preparation, setup and programming of modern CNC machines: milling and grinding machines.

Responsibilities of the role:
•Is responsible for the preparation, setup and programming of modern CNC machines: milling and grinding machines.
•Must be able to set up and adjust the machine (the engineers create the drawings and the CAM programmers create the program)
•3 & 4 axis machines, brands of the machines include:
oTOS
oDMG NHX 5000
oMantsura 630
oNVX 50/80
•Control system would be Siemens but is not that important to them as long as they can set up the machine (the control system will be taught to them).
•Converts technical drawings into finished parts.
•Can read blueprints and technical drawings to create these pieces independently.
•Independently works out CNC machining processes from A-Z. (It is primarily piece work, not large series).
•Performs quality checks on the finished products.

Your skill & knowledge

Background/experience:

•A technical education and experience as a CNC miller.
•Previous experience in an injection moulding company.
•Has knowledge of CNC control, programming the machine and setting the correct parameters.
•Can read and interpret technical drawings to set parameters
•Knowledge of cutting data and cutting parameters.
•Strong problem-solving skills.
•Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

•A technical education and experience as a CNC miller.
