What you're going to do
Our client, based in Boortmeerbeek, is one of the largest independent veneer board manufacturers in Europe with an annual production of more than 150,000 boards. Much of the production is exported to various European countries such as the UK, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, which is their dominant market.
You will be responsible for maintenance and repair of machines in production (+/- 40 machines), machine upgrades to increase productivity / reliability / continuity etc. To this end, the company estimates that the work will be 80% mechanical (grease gun, bearing / knife replacement, pneumatic repair, etc.) and 20% electrical. Of course, this may vary from week to week, as each day production may vary. In addition, factory modernization brings with it many challenges, where you have to decide between modernization and renewal, where your contribution would definitely be of interest.
