- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics accurately.
- Understand and design start/stop control and main circuits for example 3-phase motors (including delta connection).
- Know motor protection methods including overload protection and proper fuse application.
- Understand and apply Ohm’s law and basic electrical calculations confidently.
- Knowledge of motor components and protections (e.g., PTC sensors for overheating protection).
- Familiarity with power factor (cos φ) and methods to improve it (e.g., capacitors).
- Awareness of motor switch ratings and how to select them correctly.
- Understanding of different electrical protections (fuses, thermal devices, contactors, etc.).
- knowledge of LOTO.
Mechanical knowledge:
- Mechanical maintenance and repair skills (less emphasis than electrical knowledge but still required).
Experience:
- Preferably experience in:
- Electrical and mechanical maintenance in an industrial environment.
- Food industry or packaging sector is a plus.
Education & background:
- Technical education related to electrical engineering, electromechanics, or industrial maintenance.
- Formal training or certification in electrical maintenance is strongly preferred.
- Practical hands-on experience with electrical troubleshooting and maintenance.
Soft Skills & responsibilities:
- Ability to independently troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults.
- Capacity to work alone on standby shifts in the factory without supervision.
- Attention to detail and accuracy to avoid dangerous mistakes in a production environment.
- Willingness to learn and improve electrical knowledge continuously.
