Process Operator (m/x/f)
What you're going to do
This company has been a major European supplier of cereal products for the food industry for almost two centuries. The company uses virtually every form of technology imaginable to process grain into the right ingredients for producing food. Boiling, grinding, peeling, toasting, crushing, flaking, extruding, puffing – and many more processes besides. They have four divisions: the oats and barley hulling unit, the corn mill, the cereal flaking facility and the extrusion department. The company’s end-products are extremely diverse: ranging from hulled oats to rice flakes, corn grits to pearled wheat.
Details of the role:
The process operator is responsible for checking various production lines and adjusting and setting the machines.
Responsibilities of the role:
•Manual adjustment and conversion of machines according to the product.
•Solving small electrical and mechanical defaults.
•Checking silo’s.
•Setting parameters according to the production process
•Control of production parameters: temperature, speed, efficiency,...
•Anticipation on and correction of irregularities and deviations in the production process
•Manually cleaning the different parts of the machines.
•Correct interpretation of planning and work schedules
•Replacing parts of production machines
•Proposing, developing and implementing improvement actions with a view to a smoothly running production process.
•Taking care of a safe and tidy workplace
•Reporting findings relating to safety, quality, delivery time and yield

Your skill & knowledge
Background/experience:
•Technical education or proven experience as a process operator/technician.
•Knowledge of setting parameters.
•Experience in the food industry.and preferably in a flour milling company.
