What you're going to do
As a truck mechanic, you are the technical expert who keeps our fleet of DAF trucks in top condition. You perform accurate diagnostics and repairs, carry out maintenance, and see electrical issues as challenges rather than problems. With your technical expertise, especially in electronics and vehicle technology, you are an indispensable part of the team.
An average workday starts with analyzing diagnostic reports. You read wiring diagrams, test wiring harnesses and control units, and carry out repairs according to the latest technical updates from the manufacturer. You communicate clearly with customers and the manufacturer about the work you perform. Additionally, you lead and support fellow mechanics and provide technical assistance to our branch in Herent as needed.

Your skill & knowledge
What we ask:
- Technical secondary education (A3/A2) in automotive mechanics or equivalent through experience
- Professional bachelor's degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of relevant experience as a truck or commercial vehicle mechanic
- Solid basic knowledge of electronics and experience in the automotive sector
- Ability to read electrical diagrams and analyze malfunctions
- Leadership skills and ability to coordinate a team
- Motivated, hands-on, and responsible
- C(E) driving license is an advantage but not required
- Good command of English (spoken)
- Available for day shift or 2-shift system
